This wonderful romantic style fan features a ribbing (circa 1930) made of mother-of-pearl, very nicely worked, decorated and lacquered by hand. The painting on the cotton leaf (circa 1970) represents a beautiful romantic scene. The verso features a complementary painting representing a pedestal with flowers, not shown here. The size of the unfold fan is about 46.5 by 25 cm (18 ¼ by 10 inches), and when closed it is 25 cm (10 inches) long.
