What is the availability of your fans?

Most of our fans are in stock, ready for immediate shipment, and we ship most orders within hours after being placed. Fans which are not ready for immediate shipment have availability remarks below to "Add to cart" button.

Please be aware that fans can go out of stock or be discontinued at any time, without notice. So, if you are interested in a particular fan, our recommendation is ordering it without delay.

How fast will I receive the fans I order?

Fans in stock are usually shipped within hours, and we offer the fastest shipping methods for you to choose, so that your fans arrive as soon as possible. Transport time depends mainly on where the shipping address is located, on the selected shipping method and on the season. The following are typical transport times, that we constantly monitor, for our three shipping methods:

Continental Europe: 3 to 5 days.
Other destinations: 1 to 4 weeks.

Registered Priority Postal Parcel

Registered priority postal parcel is the standard shipping method for orders of fans from our sections "Fans for Weddings And Parties", "Stamp Your Own Hand Fans!" and "Fans for Occupational Therapy Workshops". Please be aware that fans from those sections ship in 1 to 3 weeks depending on the model. So, the transport times below must be added to the lead times. For specific information on lead times, please read the specific product page of the fans that you are interested in.
Continental USA: 2 to 3 weeks.
Continental Europe: 1 to 2 weeks.
Other destinations: 1 to 4 weeks.

What is the cost of shipping?

Here at myhandfan.com you never pay extra for shipping. So, if you buy a single fan for, let's say, US$29.00, that's exactly what you pay. Wherever in the world you want the fan shipped to. This is so because shipping via transport agency or registered air mail* is included in the prices of our fans.

Do you ship to my country?

Yes, we ship orders to customers worldwide. For information about how soon you may expect your order to be delivered, please click here. If you are in doubt about shipping to your location, please send us a message indicating your shipping address and Zip or Postal Code. Please, be aware that all taxes in the country of origin (Spain) are included but taxes which may apply in the country of reception are excluded.

Can you ask the Post Office or Transport Agency to leave at house-no signature?

For tax reasons, we must obtain a proof of delivery for every order. If you plan to be absent from home at the time of delivery, you may ask your order to be shipped to your office, to a friend's or neighbor's, etc. while keeping your home billing address. For this purpose, please use the separate shipping address option on the shopping basket.

Do you accept e-mail orders?

Yes, of course! Please never send your credit card information on an e-mail message.

Do you accept payment by check or money order?

Yes, of course! When paying by check please make it payable to a bank in Spain, otherwise it may carry processing charges which would have to be added to the purchase price. If you are in doubt, please contact us.

If paying by money order, please make sure that the order is payable in Spain. Very few of our customers choose this payment method, and we regret that we can't offer reliable information about money order services.

Would it be possible to charge my purchase in Euros?

Certainly. When ordering, please ask us to do so by using the Ordering Instructions text box on your shopping basket. We will use the currency conversion rate indicated by oanda.com.

Is it necessary to attach a copy of the invoice to the shipment?

I would like to give a fan as a gift to another person. How do I go about this? Who pays for the tax when it gets to the destination country? My worry is since a copy of the invoice will be attached to the shipment, the recipient might end up paying for tax, and I wouldn't want this happening since this is supposed to be a gift. Is it necessary to attach a copy of the invoice to the shipment?

If the order is shipped to a country in the European Union, we don't have to include the invoice, which will be separately mailed to the buyer. So, the tax will be paid by the buyer, and the recipient will not see the invoice.

For shipments to countries outside the European Union, we must attach their corresponding invoices to the shipping boxes. This may result in the recipient having to pay tax and seeing the invoice. You may choose to have the order delivered to you; then you may forward it to the recipient after paying tax and removing the invoice from the shipping box. Our shipping boxes are easily reusable.

Do you have a physical store where I may see and purchase fans in person?

Sorry, we don't have it. We specialize in worldwide online commerce, which allows you to conveniently purchase fans from anywhere with an Internet connection, and have them delivered a short time afterwards. Our structure and office hours are optimized for providing excellent service to our online customers worldwide, and so we don't have a physical store for conventional over-the-counter sales.

How should I care for my fans?

How should I display my fans?

If you choose to frame your precious fans, manage to keep them, stressless open, inside hermetic frames. Place the framed fans away from sources of light, heat and humidity, which might deteriorate their components. For instance, never place your displayed fans under sunlight or spot lights, or above a heater. Never use fans, even framed, for decorating a bathroom or a kitchen. Displaying fans on stands for extended periods of time is not recommended, as they may warp.

Are your fans truly handmade?

Our fans are fully handmade by the best fan masters and artisans. Only the best materials are used, and work is being executed with extreme care in a time consuming process which remains mostly unchanged since centuries ago. The presence of small imperfections is unavoidable, as these are inherent to the use of natural materials, to the handicraft nature of hand fans, and to the fan making process. No matter how luxury and costly a fan may be, it may have small imperfections, which indicate its handcraft nature.
